.NET Domain Name Registrations
When the .NET generic domain was initially set up in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Because of the fact that there were no specific requirements about the usage of the top-level extension, though, .NET domains were taken and used for various purposes and by loads of people. This TLD represents an ideal alternative to dot COM, especially if the desired domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.
Registering a .NET domain with our firm is as easy as ABC and takes only a couple of minutes, since we partner with an ICANN-approved registrar. You can buy such a domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer code – security measures established by the dot NET Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily update the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you don't wish this information to be visible at all, you can get a WHOIS protection service, so no one will be able to obtain your real contact information.
The .NET top-level domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can pick if you want to aim at a specific country or zone using a domain name in the native language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
